I Got A Lash "Perm" And I'm Never Going Back To Eyelash Extensions
Hi! I'm Dani, a beauty and style writer who's obsessed with
beautiful lashes and ~lazy girl~ makeup. Though I have long, dark lashes, they
also happen to be incredibly straight. Even when I use mascara and a curler,
they always go back to their natural form.
I've tried extensions in the past, but they're expensive and
don't last very long. I also became allergic to the glue they use, and woke up
one day with my eyes swollen shut, so yeah, I decided to quit them for good.
Though I obviously knew I was making the right call by going
back to my natural lashes, I missed extensions terribly because I am suuuuuper
lazy when it comes to makeup. Fake lashes are so dramatic that you don't have
to do much to your face to look like you actually put in some effort.
I'd heard about a treatment called Lash Lift, and after
looking at a couple of pictures on Instagram, I was intrigued. Lash Lift is a
keratin-infused enhancement treatment which curls your natural lashes for six
to eight weeks. I decided to give it a try, and the good people from the Lash
Loft made magic happen.
Since I was so pleased with the results, I asked Alisa, the
esthetician who worked on my lashes, a couple of questions about the treatment.
"A Lash Lift is a new keratin infused lash enhancement
treatment. It turns the eyelashes upwards and adds tint to give them length,
height, volume, and the appearance of having longer and thicker lashes,"
she said. "It's basically a combination of a tint and perm. It adds the
color of a lash tint to match your skin tone and the long lasting curl of a
lash perm for height and length. The keratin infusion will feed the lashes and
strengthen them."
* Mine was done with a non-toxic formula that doesn't have
any dangerous side effects.
* The treatment was painless and relatively quick (takes
about an hour).
* If you love the results, you can get it again and again,
but they recommended waiting at least eight weeks between treatments.
* If you have eyelash extensions, remove them at least three
days before.
* For best results, avoid using waterproof mascara or
eyelash curlers five days before treatment.
* You can't wear eye makeup (mascara, eyeshadow, or
eyeliner) the day of.
* Make sure you take off any eye makeup with oil-free makeup
remover the day before.
* You won't be able to get your face wet for 48 hours
following the procedure, so buy face wipes to clean your face and avoid the
shower.
* Avoid getting water on your lashes 48 hours after
treatment.
* No mascara, steam, excessive sweating, lash serums, lash
extensions, or eye creams for 48 hours.
* Use oil free make up remover wipes to wash your face after
the treatment.
* After 48 hours, you can do whatever you'd do with your
natural lashes.
"The treatment can last six to eight weeks, depending
on some natural factors like skin type (oily or dry), natural lash cycle (your
natural lashes are in constant and varying stages of growth cycle), and how
well you take care of your natural lashes," explained Alisa.
So how did my lashes fare, you're wondering? This is what my
lashes looked like over eight weeks:
Here I am, loving my new, curly lashes. No mascara, but tons
of drama. I felt so good about them I didn't even feel the need to brush my
hair that day.
This is me on vacation. I took a selfie to record how
amazing my lashes looked with very little mascara on. I ran out of mascara that
day so I literally mean very little.
I think it's important to note that I went swimming a lot in
this vacation, and my lashes held up. Also, please ignore my messy brows, I was
in a foreign country and I trust very few people with my eyebrows.
I noticed the "lift" was definitely fading and my
lashes were literally going down, hence the obscene amount of mascara I'm
wearing.
It's been a little over eight weeks since I got a Lash Lift
and my lashes are back to normal, but they do seem a bit stronger than before.
* I had a very positive experience with this treatment,
however, you should always ask your doctor if you're considering doing
something like this.
* I truly loved how my lashes looked and would recommend it
to anyone who wants to give their lashes a boost.
* It's pretty low-maintenance, you only have to careful with
them for the first 48 hours.
* In the process, I didn't lose any lashes which is
something I struggled with when I got extensions.
* They last sooooo long. This is different for everyone, but
mine lasted about eight weeks, which is wild.Visit https://www.lashurious314.com/
